Good afternoon, Eaton families! Here is your Monday Minute for the week of September 8th
1. We had a great fire drill today. The staff and students exited the building quickly and quietly.
2. We are gearing up for our one fundraiser for the year our Read-a-thon and Carnival. To celebrate we have spirit week all week. Tomorrow is jersey day. Wednesday is hat and/or silly sock day. Thursday is school spirit and Friday is where yellow. We will start collecting donations next week and start reading chapters 1-3 as an entire school of the book “The Lemonade War”.
3. If you purchased sprit wear it should go home today.
4. We love having our parents and families in the building but please remember our visitor policy. Everyone must have a badge, and you need to visit only the area you indicated on the check-in clipboard. We don’t want to disrupt routines or instruction with unplanned interruptions.
5. We have several opportunities over the next month for volunteering. We will have our next PTO team meeting on September 30th in the cafeteria at 10:00 for anyone willing to volunteer to help. 6. No LAUNCH this Thursday (9/11) and next Tuesday (9/16).
7. Parent Tip: We have parent/teacher conferences this Thursday. We encourage you to prepare for parent-teacher conferences by reviewing your child’s recent work, grades, and any teacher communications. Write down questions or concerns you have about academic progress, behavior, or social development prior to coming so you don’t forget anything. It’s also helpful to talk with their child beforehand to understand how they feel about school and what they might want to share.
