Things will look a little different for this Friday's regular season football home opener at the new Greenback School stadium. The gate behind the Community Center will not open until 5:30, therefore, cars will NOT be permitted in until that time. The new parking lot will not be finished/striped by Friday's game, but those who purchased a season parking pass will still be given access to the area closest to the stadium. Greenback School will be selling this year's official student T-shirt on registration day. A limited number of shirts will be available, but additional orders can be placed for sold out sizes. Elementary students will be encouraged to wear them during this year's Cherokee Stomp! $15 for youth sizes and $20 for adult sizes.
GBS announces new coaches for the 2026-2027 school year!
All girls who will be in grades 8-12 are eligible to play! Practices are on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 6 PM to 8 PM.
This week, Greenback School highlights two more teachers who have joined the staff in 2026! Jenna Pittman will be teaching Agriculture Science courses and sponsoring the FFA program. Zac Swafford is the new GBS Band Director and will be teaching band and music.
Greenback School will have registration day for ALL students on Monday, August 3 from 8 AM to 3 PM. Student stagger days (grades 1-12 ONLY) begin Tuesday, August 4.
