GBS was on soft lockdown due to a non-school related incident that occurred within the vicinity of the campus. Local law enforcement gave the school clearance to resume a normal schedule, and the lockdown was lifted as of 10:50 AM.

Tomorrow night our boys’ team ONLY will play at Apostolic Christian Academy beginning at 7:30. And then on Friday, Jan. 16 we host Polk County for a 6:00 tip-off. The wrestling team competes in 2 matches this week. There is a home match on Tuesday, Jan. 13 beginning at 6 PM. Senior wrestlers will be recognized before matches begin. On Thursday, Jan. 15 they travel to Polk County. Our middle school basketball teams play at home this Thursday, Jan. 15 against Maryville Christian. This is 8th grade recognition. Tip-off is at 6 PM.

4. Report cards will be available this Thursday afternoon, January 8. Remember, parents & guardians always have access to students’ grades in Skyward (for students in grades 2-12), so you don’t have to wait until a report card or progress report is sent home.

They travel to Carpenters Middle tomorrow, Jan. 6, and then play at Philadelphia on Thursday night, Jan. 8. Our elementary basketball teams begin their end-of-season tournament on Wednesday of this week at North Middle School.
