GBS was on soft lockdown due to a non-school related incident that occurred within the vicinity of the campus. Local law enforcement gave the school clearance to resume a normal schedule, and the lockdown was lifted as of 10:50 AM.
1. For those parents and guardians who pick up an elementary student in the car line, expect a small change in the line-up process tomorrow afternoon, Feb. 10. Due to construction of the new gym, the roadway will need to be kept open throughout the day tomorrow for construction vehicles. Enter as you normally do and someone will be outside directing traffic.

The high school guidance counselors will hold a FAFSA workshop for seniors and their families. This will take place from 4-7 PM in the school library. There will be a 3rd grade parent meeting at 5:15 to share information about the 3rd grade promotion/retention law. At least one parent of every 3rd grader is encouraged to attend this meeting. We will also make up last week’s parent-teacher conferences. We will use last week’s schedule, so if you had a conference scheduled you do NOT need to re-schedule it.
